 ComPoLyX 0.8.0 is now available

This release introduces the following new features and enhancements:
- Memory bug fixed.
- Implemented laminate export to ESAComp XML format.
- Added Cuntze 2D and 3D failure criteria.
- Fiber direction visualization added.
- Implemented ANSYS interaction method.
- Upgrade mechanism of old *.cpx file versions.
- Boundary export (*.stp or *.igs) for element sets and analysis plies added.
- Various bug fixes.
 Componeering contributes to a winning design
November 2008
The Finnish Plastics Industries Federation has awarded a hauling tank for chemicals as "The Reinforced Plastic Product of the Year - 2008". The manufacturer and main innovator of the product is Muovityö Hiltunen Oy. Componeering’s responsibilities as part of the development team were composite structural design and finite element analysis using ESAComp and ANSYS software. The novel concept features a sandwich structure where the foam core acts also as insulation. The weight savings compared to a traditional design allow 10% increase in the payload.
